First snowfall

This morning we woke up to big white snowflakes settling on the streets of Chicago.  We have been expectantly waiting for weeks, so before I left for work, Mr. Wheeler and I bundled up in our warm winter coats (mittens, scarves, and hats) and took a walk through the park with coffee in hand.  It was one of those lovely marital moments that brought back warm memories of returning from our Caribbean honeymoon to 3' of snow and a small apartment piled high with gifts.  Something about the first snowfall always makes me feel right at home.

Here is to a winter season of playing in the snow, hot chocolate, and nights cuddled up at home...
